Hello, lovelies!
I’m sharing a project that has been done for quite some time, but I haven’t gotten to share since school has started.
Anyone that knows me, knows that since Cody got me a Silhouette Cameo last year, that I have been obsessed. In fact, in my 5 DIYs in August post, all of my goals revolve around my Cameo. Besides decals, paper crafts, and T-shirts, I’ve recently found a new purpose for my machine…stencils!
When I got my Cameo, I thought that making stencils was going to be way out of my skill range. Since then, I have either grown as a crafter, or I over estimated the difficulty of making stencils (or maybe both!). Now that I have seen how easy it is to make stencils, I won’t be stopping any time soon.
This is a DIY from my August list!
With my Silhouette, I transformed this…
…into this!
All that I needed was my dad’s saw (and my dad), some wood, outdoor paint, stain, and vinyl for stencil.
Although I’m not sure I would describe my new porch sign as “farmhouse” or “rustic,” but I still love it! It adds a nice touch to my messy porch.
I was right in my monthly goal post about not being able to post very much in August. School is going so great, but it’s kicking my butt! This summer it was easy to forget how I exhausted I get coming home from school. I know other teachers out there probably feel the same!
