Ever since I learned how to at 15 years old, I have always loved to crochet. Now I’m turning that passion into a side hustle.
As a part-time employee of the Historic Boone Tavern, I often guide and direct guests to the famous local crafts and art shops of the town many call a “hidden gem.” We have many travelers that make the point to come to Berea to support its local arts and crafts.
Last year, on a whim I set up a table at Boone Tavern in the lobby to sell the items below. Surprisingly the day was a total success. I would sell hats and ear warmers as soon as they were off my hook! The true measure of success, though, was the feedback and comments on my blog of customers that let me know how much they loved to see and support an artist in Berea. I even had a couple of guests return, and remember me as the “crochet girl.”
Now it is my goal to share my art with more people that come by to shop in Berea.
It may seem silly that on a hot summer day you could find me crocheting scarves and hats like it’s going out of style. However, I wanted to be prepared with a steady inventory for the fall season.
Below are a few samples of products I have available for sale. These items are finished products that are ready for sale at any time. Additional styles can be requested.
